Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 15, 2026
BodyKit is a home-workout app for iPhone, made by Kramer Ventures GmbH ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use BodyKit.
In short: BodyKit has no account, no servers, no analytics, no ads and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. The camera is used only on your iPhone, and no image or video is saved or sent anywhere. We don't collect your personal data, and we can't see it.
1. Who is responsible
The controller under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:
Kramer Ventures GmbH
Hagenholzstrasse 81
8050 Zürich
Switzerland
Email: company@mindmush.com
We don't have a data protection officer, because we aren't required to appoint one. For any privacy question, write to company@mindmush.com.
2. What BodyKit stores, and where
BodyKit saves the following only on your iPhone, inside the app's own private storage:
- Your answers from onboarding: name (or nickname), age, gender, goal, focus areas, push-up level, equipment, workout length and days per week, height, weight, target weight, what has stopped you before, and how you want to feel.
- Your body read: the scores shown after the posture scan or worked out from your answers (overall score, potential, posture, symmetry, mobility, core) and two angles (shoulder tilt and hip tilt). Only these numbers are saved. No picture is.
- Your activity: completed workouts (date, workout, minutes, estimated calories, reps) and the weights you log.
- Your settings: units, reminders on or off, voice coach on or off, and your plan's start date.
Some of this, such as weight, height and body measurements, is health information. It never leaves your iPhone through BodyKit. We have no access to it, and no one else does through us. It doesn't go to a server, to analytics, to advertisers, or to any other company.
Your iPhone protects this data with its built-in security (app sandboxing and device encryption). If you back up your iPhone to iCloud or to a computer, the backup can include BodyKit's data, as it does for most apps. Those backups are handled by Apple and by your own settings, not by us.
3. The camera
BodyKit uses the front camera for two optional features:
- the posture scan during onboarding, which you can skip, and
- live rep counting in the workout player and in Form Coach, which you turn on yourself.
How it works:
- Camera frames are analysed on your iPhone with Apple's Vision framework, which finds body joints (2D body pose). Each frame is used to update the on-screen skeleton and rep count, and is then discarded.
- No photo or video is saved, not to your photo library, not to the app's storage, and not anywhere else.
- Nothing from the camera is sent off your iPhone. BodyKit has no internet connection to send it over.
- BodyKit doesn't identify you or recognise faces. It only estimates where your joints are.
- What remains afterwards is a number: the rep count for that session, or the body-read scores from the posture scan (see section 2).
iOS asks for your permission before BodyKit can use the camera. If you say no, BodyKit shows an animated demo body instead and everything else keeps working. You can change this at any time in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Camera.
BodyKit doesn't use the microphone.
4. Voice coach
The voice coach speaks using your iPhone's built-in text-to-speech, on the device. It doesn't record or listen to anything. You can turn it off in Profile › Voice coach or with the speaker button during a workout.
5. Reminders (notifications)
If you turn on Profile › Training-day reminders, iOS asks for permission to show notifications. BodyKit then schedules local notifications on your iPhone at 6 pm on your plan's training days. They can include your first name.
These notifications are created and delivered by your iPhone itself. No push server is involved and nothing is sent to us. Turn them off at any time in Profile, or in iPhone Settings › Notifications › BodyKit.
6. What we collect
Nothing through the app. BodyKit contains no analytics, crash-reporting, advertising or tracking tools, and no third-party software development kits (SDKs). It makes no network requests. It doesn't use your advertising identifier and doesn't track you across apps or websites.
Some things are handled by Apple, not by us:
- App Store: when you download BodyKit, Apple processes your purchase and download data under its own privacy policy (apple.com/privacy). Apple gives us statistics such as download counts, which don't identify you.
- Crash reports and app analytics: if you've turned on Share with App Developers in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share crash reports and usage statistics with us that don't identify you. This is your choice, and you can switch it off there.
7. If you email us
If you write to company@mindmush.com, for example with Profile › Contact support (which opens your own email app), we receive your email address and whatever you put in your message. We use it only to answer you. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to the app you use, and otherwise our legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete the correspondence when it's no longer needed, unless the law requires us to keep it longer (for example, for tax or commercial records). Our email provider processes these messages on our behalf.
8. How to delete your data
You're in control, because the data is only on your iPhone:
- Profile › Restart onboarding erases your profile, plan, body read, workout history and weigh-ins, and takes you back to the start. Your reminder and voice-coach settings are kept. Turn off reminders first if you also want the scheduled reminders removed.
- Deleting the app removes everything BodyKit stored on your iPhone, including its settings and scheduled reminders. Copies may remain in iPhone backups you made earlier, until those backups are replaced or deleted.
We can't delete or export your data for you, because we never receive it. If you have a question about this, email us.
9. Children
BodyKit is meant for people aged 16 and over, and the app doesn't accept a lower age. We don't collect personal data from anyone, children included. If you're under 18, please talk to a parent or guardian before setting a weight goal or starting a new exercise program.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to object to processing. Since BodyKit's data stays on your iPhone, you can see, change and delete it in the app yourself. For anything we hold, such as an email you sent us, contact company@mindmush.com.
You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC, edoeb.admin.ch) or, if you live in the EU or EEA, the authority in your country.
11. Changes to this policy
If BodyKit changes how it handles data, for example by adding a feature that needs an internet connection, we'll update this policy and the date at the top before the change goes live. We'll describe significant changes in the app's release notes.
